Plus, the Wi-Fi was spotty at best, which can be a drag if you're trying to stay connected. The overall vibe felt a bit dated, leaving me wondering how it’s rated as a four-star hotel.

I spent a week as a solo traveler and found the location quite practical for accessing nearby attractions. The pool area was a highlight with its refreshing atmosphere, and the towels provided felt luxurious. I appreciated the filling meals served in the restaurant on the last few nights, which really enhanced my overall experience, considering the surrounding dining options in Gouvia. I did notice that some areas, like the bathroom fixtures and cleanliness, could use improvement.

Request clean towels upon arrival, as it took a couple of days to get additional ones. Check bathroom fixtures first for leaks.

The location in Gouvia center made sightseeing easy , and the proximity to the bus stop was a real plus. The staff were attentive, especially Miss Marias and Mr Gatete at reception , who provided excellent service during our check-in. I thoroughly enjoyed the garden view from my room, which added to the overall ambiance of my stay.

I did enjoy the cinnamon rolls served at breakfast, which were definitely a highlight amidst the challenges.

i loved how opera blue is so close to the beach, perfect for catching the sunrise with just a short walk. the coffee and cocktails from miss eleferia and deborah at the blue bar were fantastic! plus, the outdoor pool was a great way to chill out and enjoy refreshing drinks.
